The El Paso bi-national metro (Cd. Juarez, MX, Santa Teresa, New Mexico and El Paso, TX) serves as home to over 70 automotive related manufacturing and logistics companies within a 50 mile radius.  The automotive cluster employs over 100,000 of which a majority are in Cd. Aerospace is a growing industry in a variety of operations from aircraft manufacturing, commercial airline travel, air cargo, private and charter flights, to maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities.  The El Paso region is in an ideal location given its growing aerospace programs at UTEP which feeds graduates to other regional markets including Blue Origin's landing site near Van Horn, TX.

There are over 30 factories in the El Paso/Juárez bi-national metro producing Class I, II and III medical devices. The latest count shows about 40,000 people work in the medical device industry.  In El Paso, Cardinal Health is the major medical device manufacturer.
